Have a listen to everyone below and get down nice and early to get some decent dancing room. The four bands you lucky lot are getting are below…

Kung Fu Academy

Genre – Post-Funk

Members – Bobby Osborne – Vocals & Guitar, Laurence Murray – Guitar, Duncan Robertson
– Bass and Fraser De Banzie – Drums

Combining relentless funk rhythms with lush harmonic potential and delicious pop hooks, Kung Fu Academy were formed by four Edinburgh Napier music students randomly put together for, what was initially, a one off performance. The chemistry clear, the band continued out with their course. Gigging rigorously since their formation in early 2011, the band performed at top venues in Glasgow and Edinburgh whilst writing and recording their self-produced debut EP Dirty Honey, released October 31st last year and available on iTunes.

Cyan Falls

Genre – Alt Rock

Members – Niall Fraser – Guitars & Vocals, Zaran Seran – Drums & Vocals, Darren McEwan –
Bass & Vocals and Blair Crichton – Guitar & Vocals

Four guys making music for the masses to enjoy, inspired by alt rock of the early noughties such as Blink 182, Biffy Clyro, The Streets, Alter Bridge and many more. Their single Reasons To Lie has hints of Yellowcard and Paramore, but throws in the Scottish charm that Glasgow bands do so well. The single is available to listen to and download from the band’s Facebook page. They’re currently unsigned, so catch them before they start playing the big expensive venues they’re destined to play.

Genre – Metal/Grunge/Progressive

Members – Doug Devine – Guitar & Vocals, Garth Ellis – Bass and Chris Cooper – Drums

Drawing inspiration from grunge giants Nirvana as well as Mastadon, Tool and Queens of the Stone Age, Perduramo is a heavy guitar based rock band from Glasgow. Their debut album ‘Endure until the End’ has attracted a lot of interest with its shifting time signatures, huge guitar loops and intricate soundscapes. They’re currently touring the UK with all gigs either being headline or in support of signed major acts. The band is currently in the process of recording their second album.

Upward Junction

Genre – Alternative Christian Rock

Members – Callum Macfarlane – Vocals Fiona Smith – Keyboard & Vocals, Matt Browett –
Guitar, Jonny Gilbert – Bass and Josh James – Drums

Originally hailing from Troon, they’ve been around for a while, but recently decided to reboot things and start rebuilding a loyal fan base in Glasgow. Inspired by the music of The Raconteurs, Muse, Wolfmother and Glasgow natives Franz Ferdinand, this five piece band alt c-rock band love to screw around with music to find the best sound possible, writing a lot of their own material, but also covering some of their favourite songs, recently adding keyboardist and vocalist Fiona Smith to complete their current line-up.
