Future of the Left – Broadcast 2/11 Preview
Welsh rockers, Future of the Left, return to Glasgow on November 2nd, playing songs from their new album How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident, a record described by NME as “Fourteen tracks of pure atomic fury and scalpel-sharp lyrics”. Featuring ex-members of Mclusky and Million Dead, the Welsh quartet put on a ferocious live show reminescent of Pulled Apart By Horses or early Biffy Clyro with brilliantly titled tracks such as ‘Robocop 4 – Fuck Off Robocop’ and ‘Sheena is a T-shirt Salesman’.
Their new album will be released on 21st October 2013 through their still-pretty-damn-shiny-new own label, Prescriptions.
Recorded at Monnow Valley studios in Monmouth it contains fourteen songs and if you are alive and even vaguely in love with the idea of rock music being more than an ersatz lifestyle choice then it could well be their best album yet. Funded through Pledgemusic, the group reached their goal within just six hours, demonstrating the voracity with which their fans crave new music from the quartet.
If you only go to one cult band this term, make it a great one.
