We’re hoping you’re not too danced out just yet after SNATCH – you’ve got a long week ahead of you…
If you’re moving in today, we’re looking forward to meeting you! QMU Freshers’ Helpers will be at university halls today helping students move all their stuff from cars to bedrooms. Look out for them in their red t-shirts – they’ll be around at all University of Glasgow accommodations!
Once you’re all settled in, ‘mon down to check out the union for yourself. Familiarise yourself with the building with a tour from one of our helpers – you’ll get to see where the magic takes place, and also where the qmunicate magic happens (if you’re lucky)! Tours will leave throughout the day from the foyer between 11am and 4pm.
Afterwards, you can stock up on your record collection down in Qudos. There’ll be a record sale with music from all genres – be the coolest of your flatmates before term’s even started! You can drop by anytime between 9am and 5pm.
Know Glasgow like the back of your hand, or have only just arrived? There’s a quiz for you in Jim’s Bar at 5pm – the Get to Know Glasgow quiz will arm you with a host of pub-trivia facts about your new home.
Finally, the infamous White T-Shirt Party returns to Qudos by night – for £6, you’ll receive a white t-shirt and a sharpie… and the rest is history. Open to all students, and open till 3am, you’ll leave with at least a physical memory of your night out at the QMU.
