With Friday now officially upon us, the end of Freshers’ Week 2019 is very much in sight. So, make sure that you head onto campus this beautiful Friday and make the most of all that the QMU has to offer before it’s too late!
First up, we have the return of our widely loved houseplant sale! It’ll be back with all of the leafy goodness you could ever want between 10am and 7pm directly outside of the QMU on University Gardens so we hope to see you there!
If you’re looking for a place to sweat off last night’s drinks, or are simply looking for a way to kick off one of the biggest days of Freshers’ Week with a bang, Morning Zumba is the place for you! Find us in Venue between 10am and 12pm.
However, if a Friday morning workout is your worst nightmare, then our pool tournament starting at midday in Games might be more up your street. It’ll be a great laugh so make sure you stop by. For any mature students among us, once you’ve been crowned the QMU’s pool champion, you can then swing by our Mature Student Mixer in Bar at 2pm!
Meanwhile, at 3pm Games will be transformed into our own lil cinema as we all gather together to watch a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the absolutely classic movie. Once the credits have finished rolling, you can head on over to Bar at 7pm for the Friday Music Quiz! There’ll be some great laughs and definitely a few prizes in store, too, so we look forward to seeing you all there.
Finally, for one of the biggest nights of the week, we have the launch of Propaganda, one of Glasgow’s most iconic club nights, as it takes up its new residency in our very own QMU! Charlie Simpson from Busted will be doing a DJ set and it is guaranteed to be an incredible night all round. What better way is there to send off one of the biggest nights of the year?
